At least once a month volunteer Susan Gorman-Chang brings a carload of fresh food for our hungry families all the way from Sylmar. This month that included milk, squash, melons, apples and other nutritious items. Thank you Susan and all the other wonderful donors and volunteers helping to fight hunger in our community.

Thank you Canoga Park Presbyterian Church and generous neighbors for collecting/donating about 80 lbs. of food and 40 lbs. of clothing/hygiene items for us this weekend! Great to get the word out about our services and donation needs!

Wonderful partnership to get the word out about Family Rescue Center's services and donation needs! Thanks everyone!

Looks like a great benefit to our community.

Corina's 4th grade son has homework that needs a computer, but they did not have one nor money to buy one. Roger Williams in the Health Office arranged for Intel to donate this one for the family. They are thrilled!

All welcome!

Thank you to all in the community who donate.

Thank you to all our volunteers, donors, staff, and community supporters.

Thank you sooo much to all who donated toys/gifts/money, to all who shopped and helped set up the "toy store" on Friday, and to all who volunteered on Saturday at the Family Rescue Center Christmas toy drive event. It truly takes a village to pull this off, and we are so grateful for each and every one of you! Happy Holidays and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

We are ready!!!! Over 1,000 toys are organized and ready to be welcomed into the arms of the homeless and low-income children who will be coming to the Family Rescue Center Christmas toy drive event tomorrow morning! Thank you sooo much to all who volunteered today and to all who donated toys, gift cards or money to help make this event extra special for the children of FRC! We can't wait to see their smiling faces tomorrow! And if you would like to volunteer at the event, come join us at Family Rescue Center at 8:30 AM tomorrow, December 17th.

Wow! Thank you so much, Turning Point Church, for collecting almost 600 toys & gift cards and also monetary donations to help make this Saturday's Christmas toy drive extra special for the almost 1,000 homeless and low income children of Family Rescue Center who registered to receive a toy this year. We couldn't do it without the generous support from you and so many others in our wonderful community! It truly takes a village to get enough toys and gifts for this many children, and we are getting very close to our goal! (If anyone would like to donate toys, gift cards or a monetary donation towards this Saturday's toy drive, please contact us.)

Such a great idea! A couple from Rocky Peak Church hosted a Christmas party at their home last night. Instead of doing a white elephant gift exchange with their guests, they asked that each guest bring one unwrapped toy which will go to a child at the Family Rescue Center toy drive (this upcoming Fri, 16th and Sat, 17th). We are so encouraged to see our local community coming up with creative ways to give to the children of FRC. Every little bit makes a HUGE difference and contributes to a beautiful group effort! Thank you, Ted Dall and Gail VanDyke!

Thank you St. Bernardine's for your generous donation of over 64 gifts for our Christmas event Saturday, Dec 17. We really appreciate your partnership!

What a wonderful program by a local business!

A big thank you to Gail, Ted, and the rest of their Rocky Peak Church life group for the very generous monetary donations and food donations... you have made a big difference this Thanksgiving for so many Family Rescue Center children and families!

A little glimpse of the wonderful work that all of the giving volunteers were doing yesterday at Family Rescue Center, in preparation for hundreds of homeless and low income families that would be coming the next day for Thanksgiving food.

Thank you Temple Aliyah for a wonderful Mitzvah Day Fair. You donated all this food in addition to the Thanksgiving cards made by the children. We are still gathering food until Nov 17 for our Thanksgiving food baskets.

BIG thank you to all the volunteers from Rocky Peak who did major cleanup and organizing at our center today.

It's time!!! Let's all join forces and gather enough food and monetary donations to give approx. 600 homeless and low-income families at Family Rescue Center everything they need to make a wonderful Thanksgiving meal! Needed: frozen turkeys, rice, canned vegetables, flour, sugar, cooking oil, salt & pepper, boxed stuffing mix, beans, pasta, pasta sauce and canned condensed milk. You can bring food donations to Family Rescue Center in Canoga Park between now and Nov. 18th. Also, if you'd like to volunteer on Nov 17th, 18th and/or 19th, we would love to have you!

Big thanks to the team! @ElizabethPitpitan @VictoriaSlaughter @AudreyMorga Milka de Mira, and @SpencerMorga for supporting "Saturday Groceries" in the heat todayπŸ™

So many thanks to Elizabeth Pitpitan, Julie Margules, Lisa & Izzy Saulino, and Sheila Smith (not shown) for supporting FRC with "Saturday Groceries"!

We are a part of the solution with food and clothing distributions to people experiencing homelessness. It will take many community groups, government agencies, and individuals to improve this crisis.

Thank you West Hills Sunshine Club for all you continuing support!
