WELCOME TO FAMILY RESCUE CENTER

We are a faith-based, volunteer group. Our energy, our compassion, and love are committed to the less fortunate as Jesus commanded us to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Founded as “Rescate” (Spanish for Rescue) in 1998 as a ministry of Canoga Park Presbyterian Church, Family Rescue Center became an independent 501 (c) 3 non-profit in 2003. Our partnership with West San Fernando Valley Food Pantry provides much of our non-perishable food as sourced though the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The rest comes through our own food purchases and from local grocery stores, and donors like you.

To qualify for food you must live in Los Angeles or Ventura County, meet specific income requirements, and complete an in-person registration if you are a new client or have not visited in the last two years.

Eligibility: You must live in Los Angeles or Ventura County

Adult ID: A current legal photo ID (such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport) for every adult.

Minor ID: A birth certificate or current school ID showing the name and date of birth for every minor.
